December 14, 2023 | Other Activities

Thursday, December 14, 2023 BPS Jembrana Regency continued the series of DIKSI (Interactive Discussion About Statistics) Series 3#: Looking for Pearls Behind PODES Data with the title Regional Analysis with Podes Data by Sensei from Japan which is carried out online through the Zoom meeting platform and Youtube streaming.

At DIKSI 3# the invited resource person was one of the Assistant Professors and Researchers in Social Affairs at Hitotsubashi University Tokyo, Yusuke Koizumi, Ph.D. and opened with a Keynote Speech by the Director of Social Security Statistics of BPS RI, Dr. Nurma Widayanti, S.Si., M.Env.Sc with a moderator from BPS Jembrana Regency Aryadi Solana S.Tr.Stat who guided the event very lively.

DIKSI Series 3# is the culmination of a series of DIKSI Series activities in 2023 which was held at the end of this year. "DIKSI has been running in the 3rd series which has presented interesting topics with both national and international speakers. It is expected to provide open insights for internal Jembrana, provide benefits for the audience ", said the Head of BPS Jembrana.
The presentation was started by the keynote speaker who explained about the utilization of PODES data. Furthermore, the presentation was delivered by the resource person very interestingly. The book "Jakarta Atlas" is a research written by the speaker using PODES data. The audience at the DIKSI Series this time was very lucky because the book "Jakarta Atlas" has not been published in general and the resource person plans to make a separate Seminar in Jakarta from the book next year. The presentation from the resource person showed that BPS data is widely used by various disciplines including geographers and even foreign researchers. The enthusiasm of the audience was shown by the large number of participants present as well as questions submitted and even an invitation to conduct joint research with the speakers from the STIS Polstat Lecturers present, namely Mr. Robert Kurniawan, SST, M.Si and Mrs. Dr. Tiodora Hadumaon Siagian M.Pop.Hum.Res.

"So, what was obtained this time can increase capacity in utilizing data that is already available and produced by BPS. Because BPS has produced a lot of data, there are many opportunities to utilize data in terms of research, policy determination, input and development planning", concluded the Moderator. So, #Sahab http:// atData stay tuned and don't miss the next series of DIKSI ...
