January
2019, the number of international airplane departures from I Gusti Ngurah Rai
Airport was recorded at 3,073 flights or decreased -0.26 percent compared to
the previous month (m to m) which reached 3,081 units. The number of passengers
on international flights in the same period (m to m) increased by 9.49 percent,
from 494,898 people in December 2018 to 541,882 people in January 2019. Along
with a decrease in the number of aircraft, the amount of baggage and
international air freight decreased (m to m) by -5.07 percent, from 11.59
million tons to 11.00 million tons.
For
domestic air transport, the number of aircraft departing from I Gusti Ngurah
Rai Airport in January 2019 was 3,358 flights, or down -12.39 percent compared
to the condition of the previous month (m to m) which reached 3,833 flight
units. The number of passengers was recorded at 429,131 people or decreased by
9.83 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 475,930
people. The amount of baggage and goods also decreased by -17.54 percent, from
7.17 million tons in December 2018 to 5.91 million tons in January 2019 (m to
m).
For
sea transportation, the number of ships departing from several ports in the
Province of Bali in January 2019 was recorded as 2,044 units, or decreased by
-6.88 percent from the previous month (m to m), which recorded 2,195 units. The
number of ship passengers in January 2019 was recorded at 194,606 people. This
number drops as deep as 32.30 percent compared to the previous month's
condition (m to m) which reached 287,440 people. Similar conditions are shown
by freight transportation in the same period recorded at 15.161 ton, or fell as
deep as -15.39 percent compared to the previous month (m to m), which amounted
to 17,919 tons.
