Abstract

The arrival of foreign tourists (tourists) to the Province of Bali in February 2019 was recorded at 437,537 visits, with tourists arriving through the airport as many as 436,370 visits, and those through the sea port amounting to 1,167 visits.

 

The number of tourists to the Province of Bali in February 2019 fell as deep as -3.99 percent compared to the records in January 2019 (m to m). When compared with February 2018 (y on y), the number of foreign tourists to Bali also fell as much as -3.29 percent.

 

According to nationality, foreign tourists who recorded the most came to Bali in February 2019, namely tourists with Chinese nationality (28.03 percent), Australia (15.42 percent), India (6.58 percent), Japan (4.72 percent ) and Britain (3.61 percent).

 

The star hotel occupancy rate (TPK) in February 2019 was recorded at 56.48 percent, up 3.21 points compared to the previous month's TPK (m to m) which reached 53.27 percent. When compared to February 2018 (y on y) which reached 66.66 percent, the room occupancy rate in February 2019 was recorded to decrease by -10.18 points. The average length of stay of guests in star hotels in Bali in February 2019 was recorded at 3.14 days, down -0.59 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in January 2019 (m to m) which reached 3.73 days . When compared to February 2018 (y on y) which reached 3.17 days, the average length of stay in February 2019 also decreased -0.03 points.

 

The TPK for Non-Star hotels in February 2019 was recorded at 29.21 percent, an increase of 7.20 points from the previous month's record (m to m). When compared to February 2018 (y on y), the room occupancy rate in February 2019 was recorded to have fallen as deep as 0.82 points. The average length of stay in Non-Star Hotels in February 2019 was recorded at 3.21 days, an increase of 0.89 points from the previous month (m to m) which reached 2.32 days. When compared to February 2018 (y on y) which reached 2.76 days, the average length of stay in February 2019 increased by 0.45 points.
