Development of Bali Province Air and Sea Transportation in March 2019

In March 2019, the number of international air transport planes departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport was recorded at 2,888 flights. This figure was recorded to have increased compared to the condition of the previous month (m to m) which reached 2,779 flight units, or increased by 3.92 percent. The same condition occurred in the departure of the number of passengers on international flights which recorded an increase of 2.73 percent (m to m), which is from 500,301 people in February 2019 which rose to 513,958 people in March 2019. Departures of baggage and international air freight items also experienced an increase compared to the previous month (m to m) of 21.71 percent, which was from 9.18 million tons to 11.17 million tons.

 

The departure of domestic air transport aircraft from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in March 2019 was recorded at 3,216 flights, up 7.77 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 2,984 flight units. The highest increase was recorded in Bima's domestic air transport flights which reached 42.86 percent. While the number of aircraft departures for the purposes of Surabaya and Bandung decreased by -2.99 percent and -4.38 percent respectively.

 

The number of sea transportation departing from a number of ports in the Province of Bali in March 2019 was recorded at 4,900 ships. When compared with February 2019 (m to m), there was an increase in the number of ships reaching 78.38 percent. The number of sea transport passengers departing through several ports in Bali Province in March 2019 was recorded at 273,578 people. This number shows an increase of 63.28 percent compared to the previous month's condition (m to m) which was recorded at 167,553 people.
