DIKSI (Interactive Discussion on Statistics) Series 4: Hidden Gems in Adobe Indesign

Friday, February 7, 2025 BPS Jembrana Regency continued the series of DIKSI Series 4: Hidden Gems in Adobe Indesign which discussed Indesign Automation as a smart solution in the preparation of Regional Publications in Figures. DIKSI was held online through the Zoom meeting platform and Youtube streaming.

Guided by the host, Alyeska Astri Az-Zahra, S.Tr.Stat. the webinar began with an opening by the Head of BPS Jembrana Regency, Rocky Gunung Hasudungan, SE. ME. then continued with a presentation related to the Governance of the Compilation of DDA BPS Jembrana Regency by the Head of the Sectoral Statistics Team, Ahmad Fahrur Rohim, S.ST, MM. As a favorite publication, DDA Publication contains a variety of comprehensive statistical data information, both basic data and sectoral data. In producing quality publications, effective collaboration between BPS and local governments is needed in providing accurate and relevant sectoral data.

In the preparation of the Regional Publication in Figures, the Adobe InDesign application is used. In this application there are several hidden gems in it that make the preparation of publications faster and more efficient, namely the integration of excel with indesign. In session 2, the practice of integrating excel with indesign was carried out by the First Expert Prakom, Lukman Dary Ilyasa, S.Tr.Stat. This integration feature not only speeds up publication completion, but also minimizes the potential for writing errors.
