The Overview of Denpasar City Consumer Price Index July 2023

Abstract

In July 2023 Denpasar City was recorded as experiencing inflation as high as 0.36 percent as indicated by an increase in the Consumer Price Index (base year 2018=100)
from 114.31 in June to 114.72 in July 2023. Meanwhile, the calendar year inflation rate (year to date/ytd) and year to year inflation rate (July 2023 against July 2022 or year on year /yoy) were recorded as high as 1.37 percent and 2.66 percent.

Of the 90 cities observed by the National Inflation, 77 cities experienced inflation and 13 other cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Manokwari (West Papua) as high as 1.43 percent, while the deepest deflation was recorded in Tual (Ambon) as deep as 0.50 percent. If sorted from the highest inflation, Denpasar City with inflation as high as 0.36 percent ranks 18th out of 77 cities experiencing
inflation.
